Lake Como Icons: Half-Day Cruise of Villas & Movie Magic

Short on time but still dreaming of Lake Como’s luxurious side? This half-day tour offers the perfect taste of the lake’s timeless beauty, celebrity homes, and historic villas—all from the comfort of a private boat. Whether you're a film buff, architecture lover, or simply in search of elegance on the water, this curated route showcases some of the most iconic and picturesque locations along the lake’s western shore.

We cast off from Argegno, in the heart of the lake, and cruise between Como and Bellagio. There will be time for a stop on shore, for exploring a garden or a quaint village. We'll pass by Cernobbio, home to the world-renowned Villa D’Este, a favorite among American celebrities. Cruise past Villa Erba, once the residence of Luchino Visconti and featured in Ocean’s Twelve, and admire the classic lines of Villa Olmo. You'll then pass Villa Fontanelle, formerly owned by fashion legend Gianni Versace, and the famous Villa Oleandra, the summer retreat of George Clooney.

Continuing up the lake, the tour reaches Villa Balbianello, a jewel of the lake perched on a wooded promontory—known for its role in Star Wars and Casino Royale. The tour may also include a glimpse of Villa Cassinella, one of the most exclusive private estates on the lake. With views of quaint lakeside towns, lush gardens, and crystal-clear water, this experience is a luxurious window into the world of aristocrats, artists, and stars.

Departure is from Piazza Grandi in Argegno, right on the lakefront. Boarding at Como, Cernobbio, Moltrasio, Bellagio, Varenna, Tremezzo or Menaggio can be arranged on request, with a 150 EUR supplement.
