Your journey begins with a relaxing cruise along the western shores, where some of the lake’s most famous and opulent villas come into view. See Villa Olmo and Villa Erba, the latter once home to director Luchino Visconti and a filming location for Ocean’s Twelve. Continue past the elegant town of Cernobbio and the legendary Villa D’Este, a favorite hideaway of Hollywood stars. Next is Villa Fontanelle, once owned by Gianni Versace, followed by Villa Oleandra, the beloved summer retreat of George Clooney.

Sail past Villa Cassinella, accessible only by water, and reach the cinematic gem Villa Balbianello, featured in Star Wars and Casino Royale, and once home to explorer Count Guido Monzino. In Tremezzo, admire Villa Carlotta with its lush botanical gardens, then cross to Bellagio, the “Pearl of the Lake.” There, explore the neoclassical beauty of Villa Melzi before heading south to see Villa Pliniana and Villa Roccabruna, now the glamorous Mandarin Oriental Hotel.
