After a safety briefing, you'll learn firsthand how to hoist the sails, adjust them according to the wind direction, and steer a large sailboat powered solely by the wind. "The destination doesn't matter; it's the journey that counts."

The skipper will tailor the training to your sailing itinerary on the Arcachon Bay or along the Atlantic coast between Brittany and Spain.

Self-skipper charters are available after an initial charter with a skipper. The skipper will introduce you to safe sail handling and the attractions of the Arcachon Bay, including its notoriously challenging passages. You'll benefit from customized training that will solidify your role as captain, responsible for your crew and vessel.

Companies will also find this a fantastic team-building activity or a unique client gift.

Finally, we offer the opportunity to participate in regattas led by the skipper. This is a rare and highly valued opportunity for a group of friends or a manager and their team.

The skipper will guide you through your first steps on a cruising sailboat. You'll learn about life on board, how to steer the boat, trim the sails, navigate the water, understand nautical terminology, all at your own pace, and discover this beautiful yet fragile environment. Perhaps one day you'll decide to set sail yourself.

The convivial atmosphere on board is essential, with seafood, of course, but also some delicious local specialties with excellent accompaniments (depending on provisions and the onboard kitty, additional costs apply).
