About this trip
Stepping aboard the Lagoon 43, one of the newest catamarans in Santorini this year, is the start of a full day dedicated entirely to your own group: eight hours on the water, departing from Vlychada Port at 10am, with a private crew handling everything from the sailing to the food.
The day opens along Santorini's dramatic southern coastline, with the volcanic cliffs of Red Beach giving way to the quieter White Beach and the striking Indian Rocks near the old Venetian Lighthouse. A proper swim and some snorkelling at Red Beach set the pace, before the catamaran heads into the Santorini Caldera for a soak in the sulfur-rich Hot Springs, right beside the island's legendary volcano.
From there, the boat continues to Thirasia Island for a longer, more relaxed stop, with wide views over the Caldera and a freshly cooked Greek meal served on board, BBQ, open bar and all. With a full day at your disposal, there's still plenty of time afterward simply to swim, sunbathe on deck and take in Santorini from a side most visitors never get to see.
As the afternoon fades, the Lagoon 43 heads back toward Vlychada, timing the return so the day can close, weather permitting, with the island's famous sunset over the Aegean before docking.
