Dolphin Watching Tour: A Magical Half-Day in Taranto

We organize dolphin research and spotting tours, parties of all kinds, and upon request, we also offer fishing trips using any technique, including bottom fishing, vertical fishing, spinning, trolling, etc. The cost includes insurance (fuel not included). The boat trip includes a fun course with a swim in shallow water (50 centimeters), deep water (optional), or both. Upon request, we also offer sport fishing, fishing only, or just fun. You can choose a half-day or full-day option (which I recommend) for up to 12 people, including the skipper. The average route is approximately 30 miles (about 60 km) round trip, with scenic tours, sailing around the Cheradi Islands, swimming at low water, high water, or both, navigating a navigable canal, the swing bridge, the small sea, the old town, the stone bridge, the castle, Greek columns, the three sirens, the ring of San Cataldo, the seafront roundabout, the government building, the naval base, and the return journey. With an average load of 6 people, the boat consumes approximately 4 liters per mile.

Fishing-only trips (bottom line) are approximately 20 miles (40 km) round trip, plus various transfers (calculated based on an average half-day's consumption).

The insurance card is included in the booking fee, which also includes a skipper, a cooler with ice for keeping drinks cool, and free use of fishing equipment. Fuel and consumables (hooks, leads, terminal tackle, lures, bait) are not included. The card is valid for one year.

The very comfortable 8.50-meter vessel, launched in July 2019, is powered by two 150-hp Yamaha engines installed in January 2023, which push the vessel at full load to 40 knots.

On board, there is a comfortable bow sundeck for four people, a sun lounger below deck, a separate marine toilet, all the onboard equipment required for navigation beyond 6 miles from the coast, electronic instruments such as a GPS chart plotter, a Raymarine professional depth sounder, a VHF radio for shore communications, a music radio, a refrigerator, a sink and freshwater shower, a coffee maker, benches for seating, a table, a sun awning, three ice chests to keep drinks cold for everyone on board, etc., etc.

You can bring your own food and drinks on board (with a valid receipt), or you can arrange for lunch or dinner provided by a seafront à la carte restaurant, which will bring everything on board on time for you to eat at sea. The vessel is fully HCCP certified.
