A Day under Sail around Paxos and Antipaxos

Spend a day under sail around Paxos and Antipaxos with a local family of captains and sailors who have been taking guests to the hidden and famous beaches of these islands for decades. Mare Nostrum, which means "Our Sea", is a 34-foot Seastream sailing boat, one of the last Seastreams ever built and one of the few completed with two masts. She has cabins, a wheelhouse and a saloon on deck with a second helm, and she is in excellent condition, more than capable of long voyages. It is a private day for your group only, with room for up to 8 guests.

The route follows the western coast of Paxos and the beaches of Antipaxos at the easy pace of a sailing boat. You set off from Gaios at 10:30 and stop to swim at three or four places along the way, chosen by the skipper from the best of the day: the island of Kaltsionisi, the blue caves of Mongonisi island, Camara Cave, Erimitis beach, Ortholithos and its namesake blue cave, Rodovani beach and the beaches of Antipaxos, Vrika and Voutoumi. The order and number of stops depend on the weather and the sea.

On board there are snacks and drinks, and an aperitif is served as you sail around the islands. At lunchtime you stop at Vrika beach on Antipaxos for a meal at a restaurant and more swimming, then you sail back to Gaios, arriving at 16:30.
