The possible destinations are of great natural and scenic value. If we head south, just leaving the port, we can see the famous Papa Luna castle in Peñíscola in the bow, whose historical significance and monumental appearance has served as a film setting on numerous occasions. The most recent and relevant, in Game of Thrones. Anchoring in front of the castle is a must for those who want to get the best selfie. But the beauty of Peñíscola does not end there. Half a mile further south, the Sierra de Irta begins, a natural area where the mountain comes to meet the sea, without buildings in between. A true paradise less than an hour's sail from Benicarló, with free anchoring buoys and from which you can see the Badum tower or Pebret beach. On the other side of the mountain range, the Les Fonts yacht club awaits us, in Alcocebre, where we can stop to eat or do some shopping in its port.

If what we want is to go north, along the coast that takes us to Vinaroz, we find little coves that can only be accessed by sea. We can also choose to leave the boat for a few hours in port and go to eat or enjoy the rich commerce that this city offers.

A few miles further north, we find the small port of Les Cases d'Alcanar. An essentially seafaring town, where the gastronomic preparation of fresh and native products has made them stand out as a hospitality reference in the area. Finally, if we continue sailing, about 16 miles from Benicarló we find the south face of the Ebro Delta and its well-known Bahía dels Alfacs.

Another natural place that we cannot miss. The tourist and gastronomic offer is so much that it cannot be listed in its entirety: bird watching, mollusk and oyster farming, water sports, typical cuisine of the area, tours of the rice fields... Another piece of paradise just around the corner. Best of all, you can eat in two restaurants that are located in the middle of the bay and can only be accessed by sea. Both of exceptional quality and affordable price. There is no one who would not enjoy a day of sailing from Benicarló to San Carlos de la Rápita, with food in the restaurant included. Large, small and medium-sized children always remember that day as one of the most special of the summer.

All this is what we find in the coastal towns near Benicarlo. But its marina is not short either. You can find a wide variety of bars and restaurants. From the typical rice dishes of the area, to pizza, tapas, kebab or combined dishes, as well as cocktails and ice cream parlours. All this with free parking, so renting this wonderful boat will not involve an extra expense.
