Malinska is located in Kvarner Bay. Kvarner Bay is a gulf in the northern part of the Adriatic Sea, located on the north coast of Croatia, between the Istrian peninsula and Northern Dalmatia.

It is one of the most visited destinations in Croatia. Popular towns include Opatija, Crikvenica, Rijeka and Lovran. There are also some beautiful and much visited Islands, such as Krk, Rab, Losinj, Susak and Cres. In fact, Kvarner Bay is one of the highlights of Croatia and a destination with many facets.

Among the 1185 Croatian islands, only one of them is the golden one, the Insula Aurea – the island of Krk. Located in the centre of the Kvarner bay, it is considered one of the most attractive tourist destinations. Its mild Mediterranean climate, good geographical position and variety of natural and cultural beauties gave it, even in ancient times, the name "golden island".

Cres is an Adriatic island in Croatia, situated in the northern part of the Kvarner Gulf; the island can be reached from the island Krk.The beautiful beaches, the preserved environment and the clean sea are the main tourist attractions of the island. On the island of Cres you can find all kinds of beaches, you can chose between small, big, stone, pebbly, shingle or sandy beaches, depending on what kind of beach you prefer.

One of the most popular of the Croatian islands, Losinj is famous for its lush green vegetation. The main resort is the town of Mali Losinj – the largest town on both this island and neighbouring Cres – whose harbour is said to be the most beautiful in the entire Adriatic. The tourist area is centred around Cikat bay.

One of the strangest islands in this region is Susak. This island has a small population of less than 200 who speak their own dialect, which is not easily understood by other Croats. It is also distinct because the women often dress in colourful costume, comprising of a short, multicoloured dress, white blouse and red leggings. The island is made of sand 100%.

The island of Rab, located just off the northern Croatian coast near the islands of Krk and Pag, has a very rich history and is known today as the ‘Happy Island’. Rab, or Arba at the time, was first mentioned in a Greek source in 360 BC. Today the 22 km-long island is bustling with tourists in the summer. Rab is recognisable by the four Church towers that form its outline.
